'Once in a while, right in the middle of ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale'. Melissa Brown
As a professional celebrant, I am able to help you create a personal and memorable ceremony.
Creativity is at the heart of a bespoke ceremony, there are no limits to where your imagination can lead you.
I will work with your ideas, interests, dreams and aspirations for your special day.
Together we can create an occasion where you are able to freely express your love for each other, weaving together your stories, as well as readings, poetry and music.
Symbolic rituals have been a custom in ceremonies for all time, for all cultures, nations, religions and gatherings. Words, objects and gestures are often used to express wishes, intentions, promises and love, adding enrichment and colour to any ceremony.
I can suggest a variety of traditional and symbolic ways in which you can celebrate not only your love for each other, but also your love for family and friends. These can include hand fasting, tree planting, a unity candle ceremony or a sand blending ceremony which is a super way to involve children and no pyrotechnics to worry about!
I will deliver your chosen script on the day and am also happy to help you write and prepare your vows to each other.
For some couples writing wedding vows is probably the most difficult part of a wedding ceremony.
Your vows are the most significant moment of your wedding. Where do you begin?
Rest assured that by engaging my services, this public declaration of your love for each other will be the high point of your special day.
Whether you write them or I assist you to write them, my performing and coaching skills can help you deliver them with ease and confidence.
The process is collaborative, but at the end of the day, wedding vows must speak to the heart and fully represent your personalities, promises, hopes and dreams.
Fees from £650
Shelley brought so much more to our civil partnership celebration and we are so glad that she was part of our day.
What a voice! What a personality!
We wanted more than the satisfactory but functional contribution from the registrar. A friend put us in contact with Shelley and whilst we had a few ideas, her knowledge and experience gave us something that was tailored just for us.
As one of us in a firm atheist and the other not, Shelley came up with a thoughtful programme that blended tradition and romance with a contemporary twist.
She commanded the room with warmth and humour in the speeches and lead our wedding party in song with gusto.
We owe a debt of gratitude to Shelley for going the extra mile in organising the music for our wedding. For providing an excellent choir and organist, for her beautiful singing of Puccini’s Salve Regina. Having little knowledge of the music to choose, we felt so supported and were so happy that we had fantastic live music for our wedding, thanks to Shelley’s enthusiastic encouragement.
Getting married was harder than we thought! With so many elements to organise and juggle. Sorting out the Order of Service and music was easy because we had Shelley. She gave us so many options and ideas, but we were always made to feel that the final choices were for us to decide. Our family and friends were bowled over, and she even sang as well, what a voice. She wears many hats!
